SCHOOLING SHOW SCHEDULE FOR 2008

We offer a series of schooling shows with high score awards at our end of year dinner.

 

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

1. LEADLINE - open to beginner riders

    a. Walk, Trot
    b. Walk, Trot
    c. Walk, Trot - offline with spotter, no lead

2. WALK/TROT

       a. May be asked to post, half seat and sit trot both directions
       b. May be asked to post, half seat and sit trot both directions
       c. May be asked to post, half seat and sit trot both directions

May be divided into Sect A and B by ability, if entries warrant

3. AMATEUR CANTER - Riders will be asked to canter one at a time, no group canter

      a. Walk, Trot
      b. Walk, Trot, Canter right
      c. Walk, Trot, Canter left

4. NOVICE CANTER - Riders will be asked to canter in a group.  May be asked to hand gallop and do simple changes of lead (one at a time)

      a. Walk, Trot
      b. Walk, Trot, Canter
      c. Walk, Trot, Canter

5.OPEN CANTER - Open to all junior and adult riders, MAY be asked for leg yields at the trot, walk or halt canter transitions, flying lead changes, and turns on the forehand or turn on the haunches

6. ADULT EQUITATION - Open only to riders over the age of 18.  Basic w/t/c equitation

7. CROSS RAIL EQUITATION DIVISION, 18" - Open to all beginner-intermediate riders.  The course may be trotted or cantered.  A horse may be ridden by more than one rider.

      a. Cross Rail Equitation on the flat
      b. Cross Rail Equitation
      c. Cross Rail Equitation

8. EQUITATION DIVISION - 2' - 2'3" and 2'9" - 3' - Open to all riders.  The course will be made up of simple fences with/without a change of direction.  Riders in this division may also cross enter in any cross rails class, but year end scores will be counted in this class ONLY

      a. Equitation on the flat
      b. 2'-2'3" or 2'9"-3' Equitation
      c. 2'-2'3" or 2'9"-3' Equitation

9. PUISSANCE - Jump off until one rider standing or called a tie.  Heights may reach 4'.
