Bertrand LeGriffon
Head trainer/manager

Bertrand LeGriffon is in charge of training for hunter/jumper horses and riders.

Bertrand started as a show jumper when he was 16 years old. He first started to work with his father and ran the family barn, turning it into a 10 horse show/sales facility. During this period of time, he rode horses for personal owners, breeders and investors. He showed and qualified a lot of young horses for the french championship in Fontainebleau, where he finished 4th out of 380 horses with Icare de Mirvalt (the only 4 year old who finished with 0 faults during the championship). He also competed in classes up to 1,40 m with other horses. The success of his stables brought him many horses and investors.

As he was finishing his masters in foreign litterature, he brought some of his show horses to J Michel Gaspard's barn, who also owns the the european headquarters of Henry and Katie Monahan Prudent. He continued training with J Michel (CSI rider), Rene Lopez ( World Championship rider) and Katie and Henry Prudent amongst others.

Katie and Henry offered him a job with them, and he followed them around the world (Canada, Italy, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, USA), spending all of his time at international competitions, Bertrand learned from the best training methods and expanded his network of connections.

After meeting with Rusty Holzer (Olympic jumper rider) and Ashley Holzer (Olympic dressage rider) he was approched to manage Ramapo Equestrian Center. Now alongside his wife, Denielle Gallagher (Grand Prix dressage rider), they work to improve upon the facility and continue to train many students and horses, bringing out their best qualities.
